Class Highlights
A Day of Exploration
These students are exploring a scientific theory - Microorganisms (MOs) do exist. In science, evidence is used to support hypotheses. Generalized statements without supporting evidence will not be encourage in this science corner. Take the world of microorganisms for example, these students are investigating this world of microorganisms on many fronts; they first use characteristics of life to classify whether or not the MOs are living thing; they then conduct some guided inquiries to derive experimental protocol to culture microorganisms (MOs); upon successfully culturing these MOs, students will use microscopy to visualize these MOs and classify them into their major groupings; and finally, students will be guided into developing experimental protocol to investigate the MOs resistance and/or the antibiotic effectiveness.
